Solar PV, battery energy storage and electrical installations for business and industry.

.KWARTZ is a Polish EPC contractor that handles both the engineering and the economics of energy projects: analysis, design, delivery, and operations and maintenance (O&M) of solar PV from 50 kWp to 10 MWp, battery energy storage (BESS), reactive power compensation and electrical installations.

For industry

We check what really drives your energy costs and which scope of investment is justified technically and financially. We analyse PV, battery storage, reactive power compensation, the grid connection and electrical installations as one system.

Funds · asset owners

Investors and asset owners

We deliver rooftop and ground-mounted PV on an EPC basis (engineering, procurement and construction), work with financing partners and have 10+ MW under O&M. After an audit, we can also take on O&M for selected installations built by other contractors.

Estimating and project delivery teams

General contractors

.KWARTZ Construction helps prepare a free installation quote for your bid, then designs and builds the agreed PV, BESS and electrical scope as a subcontractor. Kwartz Sp. z o.o. handles enquiries and enters into contracts with general contractors. Scope and responsibility are agreed before the quote.

Services

Four core areas. One decision process.

Not every company needs every technology. The scope depends on how the site operates, its energy costs, grid connection and infrastructure, and the aim of the investment.

Free Energy Review

Before any design work, we check whether the investment makes sense.

Using your invoices, a 15-minute load profile (interval data from your meter, if available) and site constraints, we show whether PV, battery storage, reactive power compensation or electrical work is worth analysing. The Review ends with a Savings Map with figures calculated for your plant. If the initial option has constraints, we compare changes in scope, technology, phasing or financing and agree the next step.

What you provide

Invoices, the load profile if available, site data, the contracted capacity agreed with the distribution system operator (DSO) and grid connection details.

What you receive

A Savings Map: figures calculated for your plant, a list of missing data, assumptions and constraints, and the next step (a feasibility study, an energy strategy or delivery).

What it does not replace

A feasibility study, design or final price. The figures are a calculated starting point, not a guaranteed saving.

See how we make decisions.

Each video answers one question that comes up before a technical or investment decision.

Faustyn Wiśniewski · CEO, Kwartz GroupWe fight for our clients’ margins

Responsible for energy strategy, discussions with management boards and the link between technical decisions and investment economics.

Video in Polish with English subtitles.

My name is Faustyn Wiśniewski and I am the CEO of Kwartz. We are a general contractor for solar PV installations, and we design renewable energy systems for businesses. We do this for companies, for groups, for any organisation that uses energy: to help it run better, to cut its costs, both energy and distribution charges, and to manage its energy and make the most of it.

In the end, what drives me, and what we bring to our clients, is the fight for their margins, for the part of the business that earns money. We prepare each investment so that the economic case is as strong as possible for the client.

Damian Nita · Technical Director · Kwartz and Kwartz ConstructionLightning protection and solar PV: why separation distances matter

Responsible for installation work, electrical testing, safety, maintainability and technical decisions that affect long-term operation.

Video in Polish with English subtitles.

Read the transcript

On a roof, the lightning protection system (LPS) and the PV system are essentially two separate systems. Some designers act as if there were enough room for the PV system to fit. The modules keep the separation distances, but the cable routes and trays do not. So the installation as a whole does not have the distances it should.

What does that mean in operation? If lightning strikes, and it can, this approach can prove very costly. It can destroy the whole installation: modules, optimisers and inverters.

Frequently asked questions

What system sizes do you build?

We specialise in industrial solar PV from 50 kWp to 10 MWp, rooftop and ground-mounted, on an EPC basis. We take on smaller projects when they are part of a wider package, for example PV, reactive power compensation and a switchboard upgrade.

How long does a project take?

For installations above 50 kWp, the full cycle usually takes approx. 6–12 months. The exact schedule depends on capacity, the grid connection, the roof, fire safety requirements, component availability and the lead times of the distribution system operator (DSO). Projects with battery storage may need additional technical arrangements.

Do you help with approvals and paperwork (DSO, fire safety, insurer)?

Yes. Depending on the scope, we help with DSO procedures, obtaining grid connection conditions, agreeing fire safety requirements, discussions with the insurer and technical documentation. At the outset, we agree what .KWARTZ handles and what needs the client’s involvement.

Do you work with financing partners?

Yes. We work with financing partners and help you compare six models: a power purchase agreement (PPA), a virtual PPA (vPPA), PV as a service (PVaaS), an energy service company (ESCO) contract, subscription and leasing. For grants, we prepare the technical input for your adviser; availability depends on the project and current programmes.

Do you maintain installations built by other companies?

After a condition audit, electrical testing, a documentation review and a risk assessment, we can take on O&M for selected installations. Not every installation can be safely covered by O&M without prior repairs or completed documentation.
